The Build Process - Watch your home take shape
Site Works
Once the consent for your home has been granted, the section is excavated, backfilled, and the sand pad is compacted level ready for the building set out.
Base & Foundations
Final accurate set out of the house is done and formwork is erected to the perimeter of the house. Underfloor drainage is installed, and floor reinforcing is placed within the formwork. The concrete foundation is poured for the footprint of your home and external drainage is completed.
Structural Framing
2 – 4 weeks
Pre-nailed frames arrive and your home begins to take shape as the framework goes up.
Building Envelope
3 – 6 weeks
Fascia board gets fixed in place ready for the roof installation. Building wrap, roof, soffits, spouting, installation of the windows follows. The chosen exterior cladding (ie: brick, weatherboards etc.) is next. The Garage door then gets installed.
Service Fit
1 – 3 weeks
'Behind the wall' services all get installed. This includes plumbing pipes, electrical, data, air conditioning, mechanical ventilation etc. as required.
Interior Fit Out
3 – 6 weeks
Installation of insulation, interior linings, internal plastering happens now. Interior doors, skirtings and trims are then installed. Painters complete the interior of the house with a Resene premium 3-coat paint system. Kitchen cabinetry and benches go in. Hard floor coverings are also installed.
Final Fit Out
3 – 6 weeks
Bathroom vanities, showers and baths get fitted at this stage. Lights and appliances are installed and commissioned. Door hardware and fashion items as added to your home.
Exterior Works
3 – 6 weeks
Perimeter fences, decking, clothesline and constructed and the driveway and paths are laid. The lawn is the final touch to the exterior of your fantastic new home. We can work with you to co-ordinate the installation of your chosen curtains/blinds at this stage. Our cleaning team then work inside and outside to ensure you new home is sparkling clean and ready for you.
Presentation Meeting & Moving In
3 – 6 weeks
We present your fantastic new home to you with a walk-through meeting to ensure you are happy with everything about your new home. Once final payment is made its over to you to move in and enjoy your new home!
